A never-displayed masterpiece dating from 1667 by Josefa de Óbidos, a Spanish-born Portuguese painter is from 6th of September to be exhibited at Lisbon’s National Museum of Ancient Art (MNAA).
Depicting the scene of reading the fate of the Christ child, the painting by Josefa de Ayala, commonly known as Josefa de Óbidos, is said by specialists to be "a masterpiece for [its] quality and rare iconography”.
